Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s home in Gloucester. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the children’s home, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with Ofsted regulations
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of care staff to deliver person-centred support
- Play an active role in recruitment, referrals, and placement decisions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders
- Foster a nurturing environment where children feel safe, understood, and empowered
- Drive organisational growth and innovation through effective leadership
Requirements:
- Previous registration with Ofsted
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
- Minimum of 2 years management experience in children’s residential services within the last 5 years
- At least 2 years supervising and managing staff
- Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building skills
- Calm, reflective, and resilient approach to leadership
- Full UK driving licence
- Genuine passion for helping children achieve better futures
