Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced professional to join a leading specialist provider as a Deputy Care Manager in Pulborough. This role offers the chance to support the management team in overseeing a children’s residential home that caters to young people aged 8 to 18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in running the day-to-day operations of the children’s residential home in Pulborough.
- Supervise and assist junior staff, ensuring high standards of care and support.
- Induct new staff into the home’s procedures and culture.
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and behavioural needs of young people are met to a high standard.
- Assist in writing and maintaining placement and risk management plans.
- Support young people with daily activities, including family contact, attending local clubs, and promoting independence and social skills.
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Services or equivalent (ESSENTIAL).
- Experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker within children’s residential services (ESSENTIAL).
- Full UK Driving Licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
- Over the age of 21.
- Willingness to work towards or already hold a Level 5 qualification in Children & Young People’s Services.
