Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced professional to join a leading specialist provider as a Deputy Care Manager in Shrewsbury. As a Deputy Care Manager, you will support the management team in delivering high-quality care to young people aged 8 to 18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in running a successful staff team and overseeing the daily operations of the children’s residential home
- Assist with supervising junior staff and inducting new team members into the home’s procedures and culture
- Ensure the highest standards of care for young people’s physical, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of placement and risk management plans
- Support young people in daily activities, including family contact, attending local clubs, and promoting independence and social skills
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Services or equivalent (essential)
- Experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker within children’s residential services (essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence, as transportation of young people may be required
- Over the age of 21
- Willingness to work towards or already hold a Level 5 qualification in Children & Young People’s Services
