Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced professional to join a leading specialist provider as a Children's Residential Services Deputy Manager in Bridgwater. This role is ideal for individuals currently working as a Deputy Manager, Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, or Team Leader seeking to progress into a deputy management position. The Children's Residential Services Deputy Manager will support the day-to-day operations of a children’s residential home, ensuring high standards of care for young people aged 8 to 18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in running a successful staff team and overseeing daily operations of the home
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, ensuring high-quality care delivery
- Assist with the induction and training of new staff, embedding company procedures and culture
- Maintain and develop placement and risk management plans for young people
- Ensure the physical, emotional, and behavioural needs of young people are met to the highest standards
- Support young people with daily activities, including family contact, community engagement, and promoting independence
- Assist with safeguarding and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Services or equivalent (essential)
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker (essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence, as transportation of young people may be required
- Over the age of 21
- Willingness to work towards or already hold a Level 5 qualification in Children & Young People’s Services
