Are you an experienced Deputy Manager or a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker seeking a step into a deputy management role? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated professional to join a leading provider of children’s residential services in Bridgwater. As a Children's Residential Services Deputy Manager, you will support the management team in delivering high-quality care to young people aged 8 to 18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This role offers a rewarding chance to make a positive impact on young lives while progressing your career within health and social care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in running the children’s residential home effectively
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring high standards of care
- Assist with the induction and training of new team members
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people, including managing behavioural, emotional, and physical needs
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of placement and risk management plans
- Support young people in daily activities such as family contact, community outings, and promoting independence
- Maintain a positive and nurturing environment aligned with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Residential Services or equivalent (essential)
- Proven experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker in a children’s residential setting (essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence, as transportation of young people may be required
- Over the age of 21
- Willingness to work towards or already hold a Level 5 qualification in Children & Young People’s Services
