Join a dedicated team working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same. You'll be supporting young people aged 8-18, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe, caring setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop independence according to their age.
- Maintain a welcoming, homely, and supportive environment within the residential homes.
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and care.
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and safety.
- Provide tailored support to promote young people's well-being and personal development.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing environment at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience in a children's residential or youth support role is desirable.
- Background in healthcare or social care is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport young people when needed.
- Over 21 years of age.
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (preferred).
- Ability to commute to Shrewsbury.
- A passion for supporting young people and a desire to build a career within health and social care.
