Location: Middle Barton, Oxfordshire, UK
Salary: £31,279 - £33,705 per year
Long day shifts and sleep-ins required
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop independence skills suitable for their age.
- Maintain a warm, homely, and supportive environment within the residential setting.
- Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically, protecting residents from harm.
- Provide emotional support and promote well-being for children and young people.
- Safeguard young people’s health, safety, and welfare at all times.
- Take a proactive role in supporting behaviours and implementing care plans effectively.
- Develop strong relationships with professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and family members.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans, reward systems, and preferred communication methods.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or working with young people preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or social care settings desirable.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (sleep-in allowance included).
- Minimum age of 21.
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
- Ability to commute to Middle Barton, Oxfordshire.
