Location: Warminster, Wiltshire, UK

Salary: £30,062 to £34,488 inclusive of sleep in's 

Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins required

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 8-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives, tailored to their age.
  • Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
  • Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Support young people's independence and overall well-being.
  • Ensure a safe environment and stay informed about individual care plans and communication preferences.
  • Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable.
  • Experience in healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a car are essential, as transportation of young people may be required.
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
  • Ability to commute to Warminster.
