An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children's Residential Support Worker to join a well-regarded children’s residential service in Stevenage. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who want to support children and young people aged 8 to 18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, tailored to their age.
- Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.
- Safely manage challenging behaviours and support young people through difficult situations.
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Support the development of independence and well-being for each young person.
- Keep up-to-date with individual care plans, guidelines, and communication preferences.
- Build positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
Requirements:
- A full UK manual driver’s license is essential, as transporting young people may be required.
- Over the age of 21.
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or in a related healthcare/social care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Passionate about supporting young people with EBD and committed to their development.
