Salary: £31,279 - £33,705 per annum (including sleep allowance)
Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins required

We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider supporting children and young people aged 8–18 with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility appropriate to their age
- Maintain a warm, homely, and supportive environment within residential homes
- Handle challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support residents’ independence, well-being, and personal growth
- Ensure a safe, nurturing environment in line with care plans, guidelines, and communication preferences
- Safeguard young people’s safety and observe up-to-date individual care plans
- Manage taxing behaviours with empathy and safety
- Foster positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's care
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or in a related social care setting is desirable but not essential
- Experience in healthcare or social care environments is a bonus
- Own a driver’s license; ability to transport young people when required
- Over the age of 21
- Reliable commuting ability to Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
