Salary: £31,279 to £33,705 (including sleep allowance)
Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins required
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and resilient individual to join a leading specialist provider as a Children's Residential Support Worker in Tadley, near Reading. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 8 to 18 years with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Working in a dynamic and rewarding environment, you will help young people develop social, emotional, and behavioural skills while enjoying a variety of activities, such as sports, walks, and computer games.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives according to their age.
- Maintain a safe, homely, and friendly environment within the residential setting.
- Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism.
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Support young people’s independence and overall well-being.
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's care.
- Keep up-to-date with individual care plans, guidelines, and communication preferences.
- Safeguard young people and promote their safety at all times.
Requirements:
- A full UK manual driver’s license is essential, as transportation of young people may be required.
- Over 21 years of age.
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or in a related healthcare or social care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Passion for supporting young people with EBD and a desire to make a positive impact.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
