Are you passionate about supporting young people and fostering positive change? We have an EXCITING opportunity to become a Children's Residential Support Worker at a highly-rated “GOOD” children’s residential service in Stevenage. This rewarding role involves working with a small, dedicated team to support 5 young people aged 8–18 years with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Location: Stevenage
Salary: £31,279 to £33,705 inclusive of sleep ins
Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins required

Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Engage and motivate young people through activities, encouraging responsibility and independence proportional to their age
- Create a warm, safe, and nurturing home environment, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Safely support and de-escalate challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism
- Collaborate with parents, Social Workers, psychologists, and other professionals to support each child’s individual care plan
- Protect young people from risks, maintaining a safe environment at all times
- Support young people in developing life skills, fostering resilience and social development
Who We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential—training will be provided!
- Must hold a full UK manual driving license, as transport support is part of the role
- Over 21 and able to commute to Stevenage
- Passionate, resilient, and committed to making a genuine difference in young lives
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with flexible shifts, including long days and sleep-ins
