Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £31,279 to £33,705 (sleep allowance included)

Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins required

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is offering a rewarding opportunity for a motivated and resilient individual to join a children’s residential service in Ely, Cambridgeshire, as a Children's Residential Support Worker. This role involves supporting young people aged 8 to 18 years with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives.
• Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting.

• Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
• Support young people’s independence and overall well-being.
• Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans, guidelines, and communication methods.
• Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people’s care.

Requirements:

• A full UK manual driver’s license is essential, as transportation of young people is required.
• Over the age of 21.
• Ability to commute to Ely, Cambridgeshire.
• Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or in a related social care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Passionate about supporting young people aged 8-18 with EBD and committed to making a difference.
