Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop independence
- Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential setting
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support young people's well-being and promote their personal development
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans and guidelines
- Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or working with young people is desirable
- Experience in healthcare or social care settings is advantageous
- Full UK driving license and access to a car (sleep allowance included)
- Over 21 years of age
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable)
- Ability to commute to Sudbury, Suffolk
