Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join a supportive team at a recently revamped children's home in Hemel Hempstead. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 8-18 facing Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop independence skills appropriate to their age.
- Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the children's home.
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Support children and young people in their daily routines, promoting their well-being.
- Ensure the safety of all residents and uphold care plans, guidelines, and communication preferences.
- Develop positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's care.
- Support young people in developing responsibility and life skills.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
- Must hold a full UK manual driver’s license, as transportation of young people may be required.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Ability to commute to Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.
