Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Shifts: Long day shifts and sleep-ins required

In this role, you will support young people aged 14-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) in a nurturing and lively residential setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to children and young people, encouraging independence and responsibility appropriate to their age.
- Promote the well-being and safety of young residents within a supportive, therapeutic environment.
- Support young people in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
- Assist with daily activities, including outings, educational pursuits, and recreational activities.
- Manage challenging behaviours calmly and safely, maintaining a positive environment.
- Home management duties, including promoting a homely, friendly atmosphere.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's care.
- Keep up-to-date with individual care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and communication preferences.
- Safeguard young people from risks to their health and welfare.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people in social care or similar environments is desirable.
- A full UK Driving Licence is essential for transporting young people.
- Applicants must be over 22 years old.
- NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People is preferred but not essential.
- Passionate, resilient, and committed to making a difference.
- Enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills.
