What you'll do:

  • Support young people to participate in activities and take responsibility appropriate to their age.

  • Safeguard children and young people, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing.
  • Promote independence and personal development for each young person in your care.
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to individual care plans, guidelines, and communication methods.
  • Support young people during taxing behaviours with patience and understanding.
  • Build positive working relationships with parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people’s lives.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
  • You must hold a valid full driver’s license, as transporting young people may be required.
  • You should be over 21 and able to commute to Yeovil.
  • A resilient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to support young people.

Benefits include:

  • Fully funded Level 4 Children & Young People qualification.
  • Free meals during shifts.
  • Fun perks like paid activities, including theme parks and gaming.
  • Casual dress code.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • 28 days annual leave.
  • Access to discount schemes for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
  • Comprehensive training including ongoing face-to-face sessions and CPD planning.
  • Opportunities for career progression and earning enhancement.
  • Enhanced disclosure cost coverage.

Please note: Due to the nature of the role, only applicants with a full driver’s license will be considered.
