Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Location: Yeovil, South Somerset
Salary: £23,083 - £29,216 per annum (including sleep allowance)

What you'll do:
- Support young people to participate in activities and take responsibility appropriate to their age.
- Maintain a warm, homely, and nurturing environment within the residential setting.
- Manage challenging behaviours with empathy and professionalism.
- Safeguard children and young people, ensuring their health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Promote independence and personal development for each young person in your care.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to individual care plans, guidelines, and communication methods.
- Support young people during taxing behaviours with patience and understanding.
- Build positive working relationships with parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people’s lives.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or working with young people is desirable, but not essential.
- Previous experience in healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
- You must hold a valid full driver’s license, as transporting young people may be required.
- You should be over 21 and able to commute to Yeovil.
- A resilient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine desire to support young people.
