Location: Bromyard, Worcestershire, UK

Salary: £29,291 to £34,933 inclusive of sleep-ins 

Job Description:
Join a leading specialist provider of children’s residential care as a Children’s Residential Support Worker in Bromyard, Worcestershire. This outstanding-rated service is dedicated to supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and develop independence suitable for their age.
  • Maintain a warm, homely environment and contribute to a positive residential culture.
  • Manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy.
  • Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of children and young people at all times.
  • Support young people to reach their full potential socially, emotionally, and behaviourally.
  • Uphold individual care plans, guidelines, reward systems, and preferred communication methods.
  • Safeguard children from risks and promote a safe environment.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other professionals like psychologists.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience as a children’s residential support worker or working with young people is desirable.
  • Experience in healthcare or social care settings is preferred.
  • Must be over 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license for transporting young people.
  • Able to commute to Bromyard, Worcestershire.
  • NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated to support and empower young people.
  • Passionate about improving the lives of children and young people with EBD.
