About the role:
As a Support Worker, you will work with young people aged 8-18, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally in a safe and caring environment. No two days are alike in this fast-paced setting—every day brings new rewards and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, appropriate to their age.
- Maintain a welcoming, homely atmosphere in the residential setting.
- Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically.
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Promote independence and well-being through personalised support.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to care plans, guidelines, and reward systems.
- Develop strong relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals, such as psychologists.

Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in a residential or social care setting is desirable.
- Healthcare or social care experience is advantageous.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, as transportation will be needed.
- Over 21 years of age.
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People is preferred.
- Ability to commute to Bromyard.
