  • Managing challenging behaviors safely and sympathetically
  • Protecting young people from risks to their health and welfare
  • Supporting independence and well-being through personalized care plans
  • Ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times
  • Building strong relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people’s lives
  • Supporting young people according to their care plans, reward systems, and communication preferences

Candidate requirements:

  • Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or working with young people is desirable but not essential
  • Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous
  • Full UK driving license is essential, as transportation of young people may be required
  • Must be over 21 years old and able to commute to Exeter
  • Passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in their lives
  • Adaptable, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality care in a busy environment

Benefits include:

  • Opportunity to gain a fully funded QCF Level 4 Children & Young People qualification
  • Company pension scheme
  • 28 days annual leave
  • Comprehensive training package with ongoing face-to-face training and CPD planning
  • Opportunities to enhance earnings and career progression
  • Enhanced disclosure check coverage

Work Patterns:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Shift pattern: 9am - 10pm, sleep-in, 7am - 9am

If you're eager to support young people aged 16-18 with EBD and develop a rewarding career in health and social care, this is the role for you!

Chris at Vetro has been incredible.

I applied for a role I'd never done before, and not only did he help with my application process, but once I was offered an interview, he spent time ensuring I was sufficiently prepared. He has also made an once-a-week update meeting available to check on my onboarding process. If you're looking for work and support, I'd highly recommend Vetro Recruitment.
