Salary: £31,980 - £35,880 (including sleep-in shifts)

We are recruiting a dedicated Support Worker to join a modern, semi-independent residential home in Exeter, supporting young adults aged 16-18 with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, and your support can help young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally in a safe, caring setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Encouraging young adults to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives
- Maintaining a homely, friendly environment to promote positive development
- Managing challenging behaviors safely and sympathetically
- Protecting young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Supporting independence and well-being through personalized care plans
- Ensuring a safe and secure environment at all times
- Building strong relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people’s lives
- Supporting young people according to their care plans, reward systems, and communication preferences
Candidate requirements:
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or working with young people is desirable but not essential
- Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous
- Full UK driving license is essential, as transportation of young people may be required
- Must be over 21 years old and able to commute to Exeter
- Passionate about supporting young people and making a positive impact in their lives

Work Patterns:
- 40 hours per week
- Shift pattern: 9am - 10pm, sleep-in, 7am - 9am
