Job Title: Children's Support Worker – Residential Childcare, EBD, and Youth Support
Location: Bodmin, Cornwall, UK
Salary: £35,000 - £41,000 per annum (including Sleep Pay) | £70 per sleep (Circa £7,280 annually)

Join a leading specialist provider dedicated to supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a modern, residential children’s home in Bodmin. We’re seeking enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated Children’s Support Workers passionate about making a positive impact on young lives. Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people aged 8-16 to participate in activities and foster independence
- Maintain a warm, homely environment within the children’s home
- Handle challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism
- Safeguard children’s health, safety, and welfare at all times
- Support children and young people to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally
- Promote independence and resilience through tailored support plans
- Keep the environment safe and adhere to care plans, guidelines, and communication methods
- Support positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people’s lives, including psychologists
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children’s Support Worker or with young people is desirable but not essential
- Experience within a healthcare or social care setting is advantageous but not necessary
- Valid UK Full Driving Licence is essential, as transportation of young people is required
- Must be over 21 years old and able to commute to Bodmin
- A genuine passion for supporting young people and improving their futures

Shift Pattern:
- 40 hours per week across a mixture of early, mid, and late shifts
