As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you'll work in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, helping young people develop socially, emotionally, and behaviorally—while having fun along the way!
What you’ll do:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility appropriate to their age
- Maintain a warm, homely, and supportive environment within residential homes
- Handle challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
- Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Support residents’ independence, well-being, and personal growth
- Ensure a safe, nurturing environment in compliance with care plans, guidelines, and communication preferences
- Safeguard young people’s safety and observe up-to-date individual care plans
- Manage taxing behaviors with empathy and safety
- Foster positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's care
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Children’s Residential Support Worker or in a related social care setting is desirable, but not essential
- Experience in healthcare or social care environments is a bonus
- Own a driver’s license; ability to transport young people when required
- Over the age of 21
- Able to commute reliably to Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
