Job Description:
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider's brand-new Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This is a full-time, permanent role offering 160 hours per month, providing an excellent opportunity to support vulnerable young people in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop trusting, supportive relationships with children and young people aged 8-18, focusing on their emotional wellbeing and strengths.
- Work closely with families, social workers, and other professionals to deliver a holistic support approach.
- Assist in the day-to-day operation of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and ensuring a safe, welcoming space.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are followed diligently.
- Promote a positive, secure, and trusting environment at all times, acting as a reliable and caring presence.
What We're Looking For:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve it within a set timeframe.
- A genuine motivation to make a positive impact on young people's resilience and independence.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable children and young people.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
- Relevant experience is advantageous but not essential; we value the right attitude and eagerness to learn above all.
