We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider at their brand-new Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This full-time, permanent role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 8-18, helping them develop confidence, independence, and emotional resilience. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a small, supportive team committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop trusting, nurturing relationships with children and young people, focusing on their well-being and strengths.
- Work collaboratively with families and professionals to deliver holistic support.
- Contribute to the daily running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Ensure all safeguarding policies are followed and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Promote a positive, secure space for children and young people at all times.
Requirements:
- The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a commitment to achieving it within a set timeframe.
- A genuine motivation to support children and young people and build their resilience.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable children and young people.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
- Relevant experience is desirable but not essential; attitude and willingness to learn are valued most.
