Salary: £13.68 - £28.40 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join our team in Bridgend. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people within a supportive social care environment. The position begins as a temporary assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker based in Bridgend, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people in their daily activities and interests
- Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to promote independence and wellbeing
- Providing emotional and practical support within a safe environment
- Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques, including restraint (training provided)
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of children by following care plans and guidelines
- Supporting children during activities such as climbing, baking, and outings in the local area
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children's Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
- TMVA - Restraint Training Certificate (or willingness to undergo training)
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- The right to work in the UK
