Job Description:

Our client, a leading social care provider, is seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join their residential services in Porth. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children and young people, supporting their development and wellbeing in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker based in Porth, your daily duties will include:

• Supporting children and young people in all aspects of their daily activities and interests.
• Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to promote independence and social engagement.
• Providing emotional and practical support to enhance the young people's wellbeing.
• Ensuring the safety and safeguarding of children by adhering to care plans and guidelines.
• Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation techniques, including restraint training if qualified.
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children through challenging situations.
• Participating in activities such as climbing, baking, and outings to enrich the children's experiences.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children's Support Worker, you will need:

• A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or equivalent.
• At least 6 months' experience working with children or within a similar social care setting.
• A valid UK Driving Licence.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to undertake a 3-day restraint training course.
• A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature.
