Job Description:
Our client, a leading social care provider, is seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join their residential services in Bridgend. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people who have been taken into care, supporting their development and wellbeing within a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker based in Bridgend, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people in all aspects of their daily activities and interests.
- Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to promote independence and enjoyment.
- Providing emotional and practical support to enhance the young people's wellbeing.
- Ensuring the safety of children by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines.
- Supporting children during behaviour challenges and helping to minimise incidents.
- Promoting positive outcomes through empathetic, caring, and resilient support.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children's Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
- An empathetic, caring, and resilient nature.
- At least 6 months' experience working with children or within a similar social care setting.
- TMVA or willingness to undergo restraint training.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Current Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- The right to work in the UK.
