We are seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider in Treforest, Wales. Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker based in Treforest, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people with their daily activities and interests
- Promoting independence and overall wellbeing of the children
- Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s social development
- Participating in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or weekends at leisure parks
- Protecting children from health and safety risks, ensuring their welfare at all times
- Providing emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
- Assisting in managing challenging behaviour and minimising incidents effectively
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children's Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to undertake a 3-day course
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
