Job Title: Children's Support Worker

Salary: £14.24 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) / DOE

As a Children's Support Worker, you will support children and young people in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and wellbeing in various settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people in all daily activities and interests
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children
- Support and promote the young person's independence and wellbeing
- Attend weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or trips to Butlins
- Protect children and young people from health and safety risks
- Provide emotional and practical support within your designated setting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure safety
- Support children and young people in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or within a social care environment (minimum 6 months)
- Relationship-building skills and resilience
- Understanding of trauma, homelessness, domestic abuse, and their impacts
- Crisis response awareness and emotional resilience
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- TMVA restraint training certificate or willingness to undergo training
- Valid UK driving licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
