Salary: £14.24 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay) + £76 per sleep in (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people with day-to-day activities and interests
- Promote independence and wellbeing within the home environment
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips away with the children
- Support weekend and evening activities (e.g., outings and group activities)
- Protect children and young people from risks to health and welfare
- Provide emotional and practical support within your home
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure safety
- Support, overcome, and help minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging
- Be Restraint Trained, or be willing to complete the required training course
Requirements:
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with young people
- Understanding of trauma, including impacts of homelessness and domestic abuse
- Forward-thinking attitude to crisis response
- Calm and collected in challenging and traumatic situations
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a similar social care setting
- TMVA – Restraint Training Certificate (or willingness to undertake training)
- Full UK driving licence
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
