Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider in Ribchester. In this role, you will support young individuals facing challenges such as anger management, absconding, and criminal behaviours, helping them develop independence and social skills within a nurturing environment. The SEN Residential Support Worker position in Ribchester offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive setting that prioritizes tailored care and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support to young people with complex needs, including those exhibiting challenging behaviours
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities in accordance with individual care plans
- Implement and follow personalised care strategies to meet each young person’s unique needs
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times
- Support young people’s engagement with education at Vetro Regional School
- Work closely with the educational team to promote personal development and social skills
Requirements:
- Passion for working with young people with complex needs
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Families or equivalent
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
