Children's Support Worker

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider at their brand-new Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This full-time, permanent position offers a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 8-18, helping them develop resilience, confidence, and independence. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a small, supportive team committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop trusting, nurturing relationships with children and young people, focusing on their emotional well-being and strengths.
• Work collaboratively with families and professionals to deliver holistic support.
• Contribute to the daily running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Ensure safeguarding policies are strictly followed and maintain accurate records.
• Promote a positive, secure space for children and young people at all times.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to achieve it within a set timeframe.
• Strong motivation to positively impact young people's lives and build resilience.
• Good understanding of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable children and young people.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
• Relevant experience is desirable but not essential; attitude and willingness to learn are valued most.
