Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
  • Promote independence and overall wellbeing of the children
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s social development
  • Participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or trips to leisure parks
  • Protect children from health and safety risks, ensuring their welfare at all times
  • Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents effectively

Requirements:

  • Genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with children or within a social care setting
  • Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to attend training
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
