Our client in Neath is seeking dedicated Children’s Support Workers to work in residential settings, providing essential care and guidance. Key Responsibilities:
As a Children’s Support Worker based in Neath, your daily duties will include:

• Supporting children and young people with their daily activities and interests to promote independence and wellbeing.
• Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips with the children to foster positive experiences.
• Assisting with weekend and evening activities, including community outings and recreational pursuits.
• Protecting children from risks to their health and welfare through vigilant supervision.
• Providing emotional and practical support within the home environment.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to ensure safe and consistent care.
• Supporting children to manage challenging behaviour and minimise incidents effectively.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children’s Support Worker in Neath, you will need:

• A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
• An empathetic, caring, and resilient nature.
• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or in a similar social care setting.
• Restraint training: either completed or willing to undertake a 3-day restraint training course.
• A valid UK driving licence (required for the role).
• Current Enhanced DBS check on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
