Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Bridgend, Wales, UK
Salary: £14.24-28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Our client is seeking dedicated and compassionate Children's Support Workers for Children Residential Services in Bridgend. The Children's Support Worker role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people. Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker, your key duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people in their daily activities and interests
- Promoting independence and wellbeing among young residents
- Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to support the children’s development and enjoyment
- Engaging in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking, and weekends away in holiday parks
- Protecting children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
- Providing emotional and practical support within the home environment
- Ensuring safety by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
- Supporting children to manage challenging behaviour and minimise incidents
Requirements:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a similar social care setting
- Restraint trained or willing to undergo a 3-day restraint training course
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- The right to work in the UK
