Job Title: Young Persons Support Worker
Location: Bridgend, Wales
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (DOE)
Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
- Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children and young people
- Promote independence and overall wellbeing of young clients
- Participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or trips to local attractions
- Provide emotional and practical support within the care setting
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
- Support behaviour management and minimise challenging incidents
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people at all times
Requirements:
- Genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care environment
- Restraint training (TMVA) or willingness to undertake a 3-day restraint course
- Valid UK Driving Licence or willingness to obtain one
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
