Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Lisvane, Cardiff, Wales
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

A leading specialist provider is seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join their residential services in Lisvane. Key Responsibilities:

• Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
• Promote independence and wellbeing of young residents
• Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips with children and young people
• Support children during weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or weekends away in holiday parks
• Protect children from risks to their health and welfare
• Provide emotional and practical support to young people within the home
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
• Assist in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents

Requirements:

• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• Restraint trained or willing to undergo a 3-day restraint training course
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Strong desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
