We are seeking dedicated Children's Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider’s residential services in Coity, Wales. Key Responsibilities:
As a Children's Support Worker based in Coity, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting children and young people in their daily activities and interests
- Promoting independence and emotional wellbeing of young residents
- Attending weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s social activities
- Participating in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or trips to leisure destinations
- Protecting children from risks to their health and welfare
- Providing emotional and practical support within the home
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
- Supporting children in managing challenging behaviour and minimising incidents
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Children's Support Worker, you will need:
- A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
- Restraint training (TMVA) or willingness to undergo a 3-day course
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- A current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
