Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Porthcawl, Wales
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
• Promote independence and overall wellbeing of the young residents
• Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s social development
• Participate in weekend and evening activities, from climbing to baking or trips to leisure parks
• Protect children from health and safety risks, ensuring their welfare at all times
• Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual care plans
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care guidelines and safety procedures
• Support behaviour management strategies to minimise challenging incidents

Requirements:

• A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• Minimum of 6 months experience working with children or in a similar social care setting
• Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to undergo training
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
