Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Porth, Wales, UK
Salary: £14.24 - £28.48 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Children's Support Workers for a leading specialist provider. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in residential services, supporting vulnerable children and young people to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
  • Promote independence and overall wellbeing of young residents
  • Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to support children’s social development
  • Participate in weekend and evening activities, from outdoor adventures to creative pursuits
  • Protect children from risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of care plans and safety guidelines
  • Assist in managing challenging behaviour and minimise incidents effectively

Requirements:

  • Genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • Minimum of 6 months experience working with children or within a similar social care setting
  • Restraint training certification (TMVA) or willingness to undertake a 3-day course
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
