Childrens Support Worker - Temp to perm

Job Title: Children's Support Worker
Location: Bridgend, Wales, UK
Salary: £14.50 - £29 per hour (DOE)

A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Children's Support Worker to join their team in Bridgend. Key Responsibilities:

• Support children and young people in their daily activities and interests
• Attend weekends away, holidays, and trips to promote independence and social skills
• Provide emotional and practical support within a caring environment
• Promote the safety and wellbeing of young people by adhering to care plans and guidelines
• Assist with behaviour management and incident minimisation
• Support young people during activities such as climbing, baking, and leisure trips
• Attend weekend and evening activities to support young people's interests

Requirements:

• A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or within a social care setting
• Restraint training (TMVA) certificate or willingness to undertake a 3-day course
• Valid UK driving licence
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
