An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a leading secondary school in Merthyr Tydfil. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise pupils in secondary school settings, including Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE classes.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Support teachers with classroom management and pupil engagement.
- Assist with behaviour management and ensure pupils adhere to school policies.
- Provide support to pupils with special educational needs where required.
- Promote a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
- Adapt to different classroom environments and support a range of learning activities.
Requirements:
- Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children or in the care sector.
- A keen interest in working with children and young people.
- Open to training and development opportunities.
- Proactive work ethic and reliable attitude.
- Good understanding of special educational needs.
- Ability to provide a range of support to pupils.
- Patient, understanding, and able to work as part of a team.
