Job Title: Cover Supervisor 
Location: Southport, Lancashire
Job Type: Flexible - Monday - Friday 
Pay: Up to £120 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

We are recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work in schools throughout Southport. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classroom activities and deliver pre-set lesson plans in the absence of teaching staff. You will help ensure that learners remain engaged, focused, and supported.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in education or care who are looking to develop their skills.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a dynamic learning environment

  • Willingness to assist with personal care (if required)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

Duties Will Include:

  • Delivering set work in the absence of the class teacher

  • Managing the classroom environment to ensure students remain on task

  • Promoting independence and engagement in learning activities

  • Supporting students

  • Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and the therapeutic team

  • Ensuring safeguarding and well-being protocols are followed

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on progress, concerns, and incidents
