As a Cover Supervisor in Merthyr Tydfil, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and well-being, helping to create a safe and engaging environment for pupils to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE classes, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Support teachers with classroom management and behaviour.
- Assist pupils with their learning activities, providing support where needed.
- Maintain a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Adapt to different subjects and age groups as required.
- Promote pupils’ well-being and encourage positive behaviour.
Requirements:
- Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children or in the care sector.
- A keen interest in working with children and young people.
- Open to training and development opportunities.
- Proactive work ethic and a patient, understanding attitude.
- Good understanding of special educational needs.
- Ability to provide a range of support to pupils.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
