Job Description:
A welcoming and successful secondary school in Cardiff is seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their dedicated support team. This role involves supervising classes during staff absences and supporting wider school operations to ensure a smooth learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Cover Supervisor based in Cardiff, your daily duties will include:
- Supervising whole classes, managing student behaviour effectively to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Ensuring set work is completed, providing guidance and support to pupils where appropriate.
- Supporting pupils’ overall learning, well-being, and inclusion within the school community.
- Holding a good general standard of education with strong communication skills.
- Demonstrating an ability to engage positively, build rapport, and foster respectful relationships with young people.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you will need:
- A good standard of education, with strong communication skills.
- Experience in supervising or supporting students in an educational setting.
- Mandatory compliance with an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding procedures.
