Job Title: Deputy Manager / Registered Manager - Adult Residential Care Home | Leadership & Social Care

Location: Gillingham, Dorset, UK

Salary: Up to £42,000 + bonus (circa £5,000)

Job Description:

We support residents to enjoy active lives through engaging activities including trips, shopping, arts and crafts, college attendance, and drama classes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Delivery:
  • Oversee and support person-centred care; ensure health and safety standards
  • Maintain high-quality support aligned with regulatory compliance
  • Staff Supervision:
  • Lead and support Deputy Managers, Team Leaders, and Support Workers through recruitment, coaching, and appraisal processes
  • Financial Management:
  • Manage budgets efficiently and oversee staff deployment
  • IT & Quality Assurance:
  • Utilize IT systems to monitor incidents, conduct quality checks, and manage training and occupancy
  • External Collaboration:
  • Develop relationships with external agencies to promote the service and increase referrals
  • Staff Development:
  • Lead induction and ongoing training initiatives to develop staff skills and knowledge

    Ideal Candidate Requirements:

    • NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care, or currently undertaking NVQ Level 3 or 4
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Deputy or Registered Manager role within residential or supported living settings
    • Proven experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs
    • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire a dedicated team
    • Full UK driving license
    • Passionate about delivering exceptional, holistic care
