  • Maintain High Standards: Ensure all care meets CQC fundamental standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.

  • Safeguarding & Complaints: Take full responsibility for addressing safeguarding concerns and complaints.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work in partnership with families and other professionals to promote welfare.

  • Commercial Management: Effectively manage the home within budget expectations.

What We're Looking For

  • Essential BSL Skills: Proficiency in British Sign Language is crucial for effective communication within the home.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in residential care for children, young people, and adults.

    • At least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.

  • Qualifications:

    • Essential: Level 3 in Children's or Adults Residential Care.

    • Preferred: Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential settings (or commitment to enroll within 6 months of starting).

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of CQC, adult legislation, and regulatory requirements.

  • Skills: Excellent planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation, and team leadership abilities.

  • Communication: Confident and effective spoken and written communication.

  • Understanding Trauma: Knowledge of managing challenging behaviour and the needs of individuals with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.

  • Driving License: Full UK driving license is required.

  • Passion: A genuine passion for making a significant difference in the lives of the adults you support.

Chris at Vetro has been incredible.

I applied for a role I'd never done before, and not only did he help with my application process, but once I was offered an interview, he spent time ensuring I was sufficiently prepared. He has also made an once-a-week update meeting available to check on my onboarding process. If you're looking for work and support, I'd highly recommend Vetro Recruitment.
