Job Title: Domestic Abuse Service Team Manager
Location: Gwent, Wales, UK
Salary: £35,000 (Pro Rata)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Domestic Abuse Service Team Manager to lead a vital service across the Gwent area. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate manager to make a meaningful impact on service delivery for children and young people affected by VAWDASV. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team, ensuring high-quality support, and fostering strong partnerships within the community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the CYP team in an inclusive, engaging, and empowering manner, supporting and coaching team members.
  • Oversee the service for children and young people, ensuring their needs are central to service design and delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior management and external partners to develop and improve services.
  • Manage the budget effectively, acting as Budget Holder and liaising with the Finance Team.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, legislation, and quality standards.
  • Oversee risk management and safety protocols within CYP services.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with statutory, voluntary, and community partners.
  • Monitor current research and best practices related to working with CYP affected by VAWDASV.
  • Communicate outcomes, achievements, and feedback to senior leadership, trustees, and stakeholders.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support the service.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualifications related to children/young people, such as teaching, youth work, mental health, or well-being.
  • Experience managing and coordinating CYP projects or services within a charity setting.
  • Ability to support team members in crisis management and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of compliance, quality assurance, and safeguarding policies.
  • Experience in project management and service development.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and leadership.
  • Budget management skills and basic financial understanding.
  • Strong collaborative skills to create a safe and supportive environment.
