Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home (Abergavenny)
Are you a Senior Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a children's residential home in the Tonyrefail area. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills and make a real impact on young lives.
Salary: £29,800 - £39,800 per annum
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home provides a safe and nurturing environment for young people. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing strong professional leadership to the team.

Assisting with the day-to-day management of the home's financial systems and ensuring it meets all regulatory requirements.

Helping to plan and organise staff training programs.

Assisting in the recruitment and selection of staff.

Ensuring the home's practices are in line with the company's child protection procedures.

Participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide support in emergency situations.
What We Are Looking For:

Experience: A minimum of five years of experience working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 10 years, with at least two years at a supervisory level.

Qualifications: You should ideally hold a QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young Peoples Residential Management) Wales, or equivalent qualifications such as the NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care and NVQ Level 4 in Management.

Professional Requirements: You must be registered with the Care Council for Wales and CSSIW as a registered manager.
