Deputy Manager - Children's Home (Cardiff)

Ready to step up and lead a team in making a difference? We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a children's home in the Cardiff area. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead by example, mentor a team, and help young people reach their full potential.

Salary: £29,600 - £30,800 + additional earnings for sleep-ins Location: Cardiff Gate, close to the M4 motorway Working Hours: Full-time, including shifts and sleep-ins

As a Deputy Manager, you will support the Home Manager in providing high-quality, therapeutic care for young people aged 8-18 who have emotional and behavioral difficulties. Your role is crucial in ensuring every child feels safe and supported.

What you'll do:

• Leadership: Be a key leader and role model, mentoring your team and supporting their professional growth.

• Support: Help staff provide the care and structure young people need to have positive outcomes.

• Operations: Assist with budgets and rotas and ensure the home meets all safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.

What you'll need:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a residential children's home.

• An NVQ Level 3 or above in Children and Young People.

• Knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.

• A full UK Driving Licence.

• A highly driven, proactive, and enthusiastic approach with strong people management skills.
